Living.

Living is an artist's book based on the funeral parades in New Orleans. The drawings are inspired by the stories and photography of William Claxton who recorded the funerals in the 60s. The funerals were in two parts, when leaving the church there was a slow march and the band played "dirge" songs while after the burial there would be dancing through the streets as they celebrated the life of the deceased.
