The Folio Society

It was a great privilege to work with The Folio Society to produce eight illustrations, cover included, for ‘As I Walked Out One Midsummer Morning’ by Laurie Lee. I was given enough time to slowly read through the book and consider a selection of scenes which gave an overall sense of Lee’s lone journey across Spain in the 1930s. He walked the entire journey and his rich descriptions of landscapes and people offered a wealth of material to work with. You can view a video of the book below which I hope demonstrates the quality of the book's production.
