About

Having recently graduated from the MA Storytelling course in Konstfack, Stockholm, I am now based in Berlin. For my final project I established a publishing company to republish old, forgotten classics in a quality paperback form inspired by publishers from the 60s. The company is called Bonobo Press and to read the manifesto along with more information about what will be published please visit the site here or a brief overview can found here.

My Philosophy

As an illustrator I believe my role is best defined as a collaborator rather than decorator or visualiser.

As an illustrator I need to work both with long and short term projects. Those finished in under a day remind me of the importance of intuition and concentrated, mindful working, while those longer, more meditative projects always exercise my ability to refine without stultifying.

As an illustrator I always prefer to work on one project where I have an active interest in the content and am able to express myself as opposed to several projects that are unchallenging and static in concept and purpose.

As an illustrator I hope to become more than a style and look forward to working with others who appreciate my work for its content as much as its form. I believe the best projects are those which demand more than a stylist and require a mind which is able to think as well as it creates.

As an illustrator I cherish those relationships with art directors which are dynamic and spontaneous whereby their final results could not be foreseen until the very end.
